NorCal Technika Tournament ~ SVGL Best of the West

Welcome! I assume you’ve come here for rules, so here they are.

Basically, how it’s gonna work is identical to how Dan ran his Technika tourney at Kings of the Coast. Copied from his Bemanistyle post –

DJ Max Technika: $5

-This will be a gauntlet-style tournament.
-Each round will consist of a pre-determined 3 song (Pop mode) set. Sets will not be announced until the start of each round.
-During the first round, people will play in a random order.
-Scoring is determined by cumulative money scores (aka total score.)
- In the event of a fail-out, only the songs that the player cleared will be counted towards their total score.
-All participants play the same song(s) in each round, and the people with the lowest scores get eliminated. From that point on, the people with the lowest advancing scores will play first, and the ones with highest advancing scores play will [go] last.
-Elimination will depend on the amount of participants. Regardless, the second to last round will consist of the top 4 people, and the final round will consist of the top 2 people. Semi-finals and finals will be played on Technical mode.

So, yeah, that’s pretty much it. See you at the tournament!
